Yinglun (Kayla) Tang

I build the partnerships and projects that bring international students to UK universities — and I write Soup England, my journal of slow living in London.

First to recognise

When a major Chinese school network of 1,000+ students switched to a self-developed curriculum, UK admission stalled. I built the internal business case and made us the first UK university to officially recognise it in mainland China — a precedent Russell Group peers soon followed.
Case study · Channel partners

From 20 to 60 partners

I inherited an agent network with no shared process and a tangle of cross-office handovers. I audited every partner, built a clean tiered workflow, and delivered bespoke training — tripling the active network in a single year and lifting total applications by nearly 20%.

The Taster Lecture series

To convert prospects into enrolments, I led a year-long taster-lecture programme — coordinating academics, marketing and ambassadors through one live, shared tracker. Around 40 sessions, 100+ registrations each, and a team that could focus on teaching, not logistics.
From the journal

Soup England

Away from campus, this is my lifestyle journal of slow living in London — seasonal cooking, quiet weekends, and the small habits that make a busy week feel less hurried. Honest suggestions, never a highlight reel.
